Dr. Debajit Palit is a researcher, practitioner, author, editor, and trainer with more than 26 years of experience working in the domain of renewable energy, energy transition, clean energy access, micro-grids, and energy-livelihood-gender nexus. He is featured in the Top 2% World's Scientists Ranking by Stanford University for the last four consecutive years.
Currently, Dr. Palit serves as the Centre Head of the Centre for Climate Change and Energy Transition at Chintan Research Foundation (CRF), an emerging think-tank committed to advancing innovation and shaping policy through rigorous research and thought leadership.
Earlier, Dr. Palit served as a Professor of Energy at NTPC School of Business and as Director & Senior Fellow at The Energy & Resources Institute (TERI), where he led the Rural Energy & Livelihood Division for almost a decade.
Dr. Palit is also Vice President (honorary) of the Indian Association for Energy Economics, Associate Editor of the acclaimed Energy for Sustainable Development journal, and is on the Editorial Board of the journal Environmental Research Communications.
